slumped in a kitchen corner
every noise is too much
the hum of the ‘fridge
the whirring of the computer fan
a buzzing in my head
I can’t think, just slump
try to cover two eyes and two ears with two hands
and fail
I can’t hide
can’t hide me from it
can’t hide it from me
let me slip back into the shadows
let me melt into the inky silence
let me slide back into the night
let raindrops slip right through me
disappear
like silent teardropsin the rain
